Mrs. Heurung is the Lower School counselor. She has developed many key parts of the Lower School experience for ALL students. Our CARE curriculum was developed by her and she has also been leading our lessons in mindfulness for the last few years. Mrs. Heurung comes to our room at least once every two weeks. She supports our daily work on self regulation and self control. This gives the children another voice and additional strategies to use. Her collaboration with classroom teachers is one way that we strive to ensure that we meet the emotional and developmental needs of every student in the preschool program.
