The zip line challenge has continued into this week. Last week the preschoolers had to figure out how to make a zip line work with items that were already provided. Last Friday they had to find a way to make a superhero out of LEGOs that could travel down.
This has continued to be a popular activity choice this week. Several LEGO superheroes have had to be redesigned for speed, sturdiness, and simple "coolness."
Zip lines are a exciting way for children to develop an idea that has a high rate of failure, but a low level of frustration. They have figured out which of our cables goes fastest, which one can hold the heavier items, and how to redesign their ideas over and over again!
