We finished two challenges this week. The children finished working on marble runs with the other preschool class in the project room, and a new water challenge in the classroom.
The marble runs required a lot cooperation. Many designs took multiple days to find a way to work. This could be a fun challenge to replicate at home during the cold winter. There are many different random materials that can be used to create tunnels and runs for marbles.
The latest water challenge was to see if you could design something that could make a rock float. The extra challenge was to see HOW MANY ROCKS the design could support. A frequent question the students each other was; "What change could you make to see if you could get one more rock to float?" One design supported 14 rocks!
