Descriptive Language

The last two days have involved using the art table to improve conversation skills and descriptive verbal language.  The children were paired off with a peer. The task may seem simple, but it had a lot of layers for these young scholars.

The challenge was to interview your partner about her/his Halloween costume, and then create a portrait based on the description.  The artist needed to ask follow up questions on anything that may have been unclear.  As the picture was being drawn the child being interviewed was tasked to ensure that it accurately reflected their costume.  We are very excited to see everyone next to the drawings on Monday!
