Minnetonka Apple Orchard

We had a great time riding on the Breck bus all the way out to Minnetonka Apple Orchard. Once we got there we learned about apple trees and the important role that bees play in cross pollination.  Ethan even got to wear some of the equipment that a bee keepers wears.

After learning about apples we got to take a hayride and go through parts of the orchard and the woods (where a few spooky surprises were waiting for us).

When our ride was all done we got to eat a sweet tango apple and have an apple cider donut!

In the afternoon we started working in our journals.  Each student drew a picture story of something that was seen, learned, or done on the trip.  We will write in our journals fairly often, and each entry has a place for children to write about their pictures as well.

Thank you to our parent volunteers that came on the trip. Field trips are not possible without your help.
